Monel 404 (UNS N 04404) is a nickel-copper alloy mainly used in electrical
engineering and electronics. Like Monel 401, Monel 404's chemistry is carefully
adjusted to provide a very low Curie temperature, low permeability and good
brazing characteristics.

Monel 404 has a low magnetic permeability and low Curie temperature. Since its
low magnetic permeability is substantially independent of processing and
manufacturing, it is particularly suitable for electronic parts.
