Haynes 556 heat resistant steel is an alloy based on iron, nickel,
chromium and cobalt. In addition, in significantly smaller proportions, it
contains tungsten, molybdenum, carbon, silicon and manganese.
Special alloy properties
The verified balance of alloying elements provides steel with high resistance to
carburizing, sulfiding and chlorine-containing environments.
Also, heat-resistant steels exhibit excellent resistance to oxidation under
conditions of high operating temperatures, the effects of various salts, molten
zinc, and all kinds of corrosive manifestations.
Melting Haynes 556 occurs at temperatures from 1330 to 1415 degrees.
Areas of use
Rolled metal products, Haynes 556, are supplied in the form of a bar, plate,
sheet, strip, seamless tube and tube.
Steel is in great demand in the production of components for industrial waste
incineration plants, various furnaces, rotary calciners, hot-dip galvanizing
equipment, high-temperature components for spacecraft and aircraft.
