Alloy 617 belongs to the group of nickel-chromium alloys with additions of
molybdenum and cobalt.
The combination of these metals provides the alloy with excellent performance,
strength and resistance to corrosion. In addition, it is neutral to the effects
of a large number of chemicals and aggression, it lends itself well to
processing and welding.
Inconel 617 analog - material §·§¯56§®§£§¬§À according to GOST 5632.
Nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum material has unique characteristics,
especially high resistance to oxidation processes at high temperatures. And the
introduction of molybdenum and cobalt into the alloy provides it with good
hardness, machinability and weldability (using any types of welding).
The scope of the alloy is very wide - elements of combustion chambers of gas
turbines, liners and adapters, pipes and fittings for pipelines transporting
aggressive liquids and gases, heat exchangers. This material is actively used in
the petrochemical and oil and gas industries.
Inconel 617 is in demand for the production of special equipment, units for the
processing of nitric acid and other acids.
Corrosion resistance
Nicrofer 5520 Co exhibits excellent high temperature corrosion resistance
against oxidation and carburization under thermally constant or variable
conditions up to 1100 ¡ã C (2000T). These properties, combined with extreme
toughness, make the alloy suitable for high temperature applications.
Welding
Nicrofer 5520 Co can be welded to similar and many other metals using
conventional welding methods. This includes the following types: welding,
consumable electrode, plasma, electron beam and electric welding. In
gas-electric welding, the use of pulse technology is preferable.
