Rare elemental metal series
Rare element metals usually refer to those metallic elements that are found in relatively small quantities in the earth's crust and have special physical and chemical properties. Rare earth metals are a particularly important class of rare element metals, including scandium, yttrium, and the lanthanide series of 17 elements. These elements are widely used in high-tech fields such as electronics, aerospace, energy, etc. due to their unique physical and chemical properties.
Other rare metals such as lithium, titanium, rubidium, and cesium also play important roles in specific fields. For example, lithium is used in the manufacture of batteries, titanium is widely used in the aerospace industry because of its high strength and lightness, and rubidium and cesium have an irreplaceable position in precision scientific instruments and special materials.
