Nimonic 80A
Nimonic 80A (UNS N07080/W. Nr. 2.4952) is a nickel-chromium alloy similar to Alloy 75, but made precipitation hardenable by the addition of aluminum and titanium. Alloy 80a has good corrosion and oxidation resistance and high tensile and creep fracture properties at temperatures up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Main features: Precipitation-hardenable alloy with excellent elongation characteristics at high temperatures (up to 815°C). Nimonic 80A has high heat resistance, high strength at high temperatures, and high deformation resistance, which makes forging and forming more difficult. It is suitable for manufacturing bolts and exhaust valves of combustion chambers.
