Alloy NS142 is a versatile engineering alloy that is resistant to acid and alkali metal corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments. The high nickel content makes the alloy effective in resisting stress corrosion cracking. It has good corrosion resistance in a variety of media such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, organic acids, and alkali metal solutions such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and hydrochloric acid. The overall performance of the alloy is demonstrated in a nuclear fuel dissolver where various corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide are treated in the same equipment. Impurities come from marked paint, chalk, lubricants, water, fuel, etc. The sulfur content of fuels should be low, such as liquefied gas and natural gas should have less than 0.1% impurities, and cities should be very low. Gas should be less than 0.25g/m3, and LPG should contain less than 0.5% sulfur. 2、The suitable hot processing temperature of the alloy is 1150-900℃, and the cooling method can be water quenching or fast air cooling. 3、Tungsten inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal polar inert gas shielded welding, fused polar inert gas shielded welding, pulse arc welding is the solution.
