Hiperco50 soft magnetic alloy

Hiperco50 has the highest saturation magnetic induction (2.4T), high Curie point (980°C), and the largest saturation magnetostriction coefficient (60-100×10-6) among existing soft magnetic materials. Due to the high saturation magnetic induction strength, it can greatly reduce the volume when making motors of the same power, and when making electromagnets, it can produce large suction force with the same cross-sectional area. Due to the high Curie point, the alloy can work at higher temperatures where other soft magnetic materials have been completely demagnetized and maintain good magnetic stability.

Hiperco50 has a large magnetostrictive coefficient and is extremely suitable for magnetostrictive transducers with high output energy and high efficiency. The alloy has low resistivity (0.27μΩ-m) and is not suitable for use at high frequencies. Heat treatment system Rolled strip: heated to 850-900℃ with the furnace, held for 3-6h, cooled to 750℃ at 50℃/h, then cooled to 300℃ at 180-240℃/h. The annealing medium is hydrogen with a dew point not higher than -40℃. Forging billet: heating up to 1100℃±20℃ with the furnace, holding 3~6h, cooling to 850℃ with 50~100℃/h speed, holding 3h, then cooling to 700℃ with 30℃/h speed, then cooling to 300℃ with 200℃/h speed, annealing medium is hydrogen with dew point not higher than -40℃.  For materials requiring higher magnetic induction strength, lower coercivity and higher rectangular ratio at lower magnetic fields: heating up to 850℃±10℃ with the furnace, holding 4h, cooling to 750℃ at 50℃/h, holding 3h, then cooling to 300℃ at 200℃/h out of the furnace, adding 1240~1600A/m DC magnetic field at the beginning of holding (750℃), annealing medium for Dew point is not higher than -40 ℃ hydrogen gas.
