GH4738 high temperature alloy

GH4738 is a Ni-Cr-Co based precipitation hardening deformed high temperature alloy with a service temperature below 815℃. The alloy is strengthened by adding cobalt, chromium and molybdenum elements for solid solution strengthening, adding aluminum and titanium elements to form γ precipitation strengthening terms, and adding boron and zirconium elements to purify and strengthen grain boundaries. The GH4738 alloy has high yield strength and fatigue resistance at 760℃-870℃; good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance in gas turbine atmosphere below 870℃; good processing plasticity and stable organizational properties. It is suitable for making parts such as turbine discs, industrial blades, high-temperature fasteners, flame cylinders, shafts and turbine cassettes.

GH4738 alloy has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance in various atmospheres encountered in jet engines or similar working conditions, with oxidation resistance up to 1040°C for continuous work and up to 870°C for intermittent work. The alloy also has good resistance to salt spray corrosion, especially in the solid solution treated state. The notch durability experiments at 650°C, 750°C and 815°C after the bar was treated with 1080°C×4h/AC+stabilization+aging showed that the alloy has no notch sensitivity. No new phase precipitated after long-term aging at 650°C and 730°C up to 3000h, and the alloy was stable. GH4738 alloy has been used to make turbine discs, blades and seal ring parts of aero engines, as well as smoke turbine blades, turbine discs and large bolts. The alloy is widely used abroad in the field of rotating parts of aviation, aerospace, petroleum, chemical and power generation equipment, such as pressurizer blades, turbine discs, valve bodies, annular parts and shafts and other rotating parts.
