GH2901 high temperature alloy

GH2901 is an Fe-Ni-Cr based precipitation hardening deformed high temperature alloy. The alloy is age-strengthened with substable γ[Nij(Ti,A1)] phase, and the trace amount of aluminum inhibits the transformation of γ to the γNiTi phase. The alloy has high yield strength and lasting strength below 650°C, good oxidation resistance below 760°C, and stable organization in long-term use. The main products of GH2901 are turbine disc, compressor disc, journal, static structural parts, turbine outer ring and fasteners, etc.

GH2901 application overview and properties. GH2901 alloy has been used to make rotating parts and fasteners for aero engines and ground gas turbines with long service life of alloy parts. GH2901 alloy is not notch-sensitive after standard heat treatment and after long-term aging at different times in the range of 550°C to 750°C. However, when forging, if the process parameters are not selected or operated properly, the standard heat treatment can precipitate long strips or flakes of harmful phase TizSC and large particles of borides and Ti(CN) phase at the grain boundaries, resulting in notch sensitivity during the endurance test, it is not possible to eliminate notch sensitivity through heat treatment, but only re-hot working deformation to obtain the appropriate organization, the expansion coefficient of the alloy is close to the ferrite type The coefficient of expansion of the alloy is close to that of ferritic alloy steels, making it possible to join the two materials and without special provisions for thermal expansion.
