GH131 high temperature alloy

GH131 (GH1131) is a high-performance iron-based high-temperature alloy reinforced by the compound solid solution of tungsten, molybdenum, niobium and nitrogen, containing about 28% nickel, but its thermal strength level is the same as GH3044 lloy.  The alloy has good hot working plasticity and welding and cold forming process performance. The main varieties of main products are cold rolled sheet, hot rolled medium plate, bar, flat steel and wire. It can be used to make rocket engines that work at 700 to 1000°C for short periods of time

GH1131(GH131) Heat treatment system For hot rolled plate and cold rolled sheet: 1130~1170℃, air cooling; for bar: 1160℃±10℃, air cooling treatment. GH1131(GH131) Species specification and status Cold-rolled sheet, hot-rolled sheet, bar, welding wire, etc. Hot rolled sheet and cold rolled sheet are supplied after solution treatment, pickling, straightening and edge cutting; bars are supplied without heat treatment; welding wire is supplied in cold drawn state, heat treated and pickled state or semi-hard state. GH1131(GH131) Melting and casting process The alloy is produced by non-vacuum induction furnace with electroslag remelting or electric arc melting with electroslag remelting process. GH1131(GH131) Application profile and special requirements This alloy is mainly used as a high temperature component for rocket engines. In aero-engines, parts such as adjustable nozzle shells and adjusting plates of the accelerating combustion chamber have been made and put into production. Compared with nickel-based alloys for similar applications, the alloy has poor organizational stability in terms of high-temperature oxidation resistance, room-temperature plasticity decreases after long-term use at 700-900°C, and the forming properties deteriorate.
