1J87 Nickel-iron soft magnetic alloy

Product features: high starting magnetic permeability, high resistivity, high hardness, strength and wear resistance, magnetic insensitivity to stress. Product applications: tape recorders, video recorders, movie projectors and digital tape machines for computers, magnetic head chips, microtremors, transformers, sensors, magnetic amplifiers and other various high frequency inductive components cores.

n-process annealing: To remove all strain and return the alloy to a soft state suitable for further cold rolling or drawing, forming, bending, or similar operations, anneal at 1020 to 1080°C for no more than 1 hour. Since high nickel, high permeability alloys tend to absorb carbon, sulfur, oxygen and other contaminants from the combustion furnace gas, intermediate annealing should be performed in a dissociated ammonia, hydrogen, vacuum or inert gas atmosphere. Final annealing: To obtain maximum softness and optimum magnetoelectric properties, cold-deformed 1J87 alloy should be annealed at 1150°C for 3 to 5 hours in an oxygen-free dry hydrogen atmosphere with a dew point below -40°C and cooled at 200°C for each hour. Typical applications are. Sensors Transformers Amplifiers Relays Loudspeakers Leakage breaker Shield
